Some advantages of the Hajj


The Hajj makes it possible to establish a link with the Prophets who have succeeded each other since our father Ibrahim, builder of the House until our Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) who restored the sacred character of Mecca. Ibn Abbas said: "We walked with the Messenger of Allah ( ) between Mecca and Medina on the crossing of a certain valley, he said to us:
"What is this valley?" "
-         "The valley of Azraq" we replied him.
-         "  It is as if I saw Moussa crossing this valley, putting his fingers on his ears and pronouncing in a loud voice the Talbiyya.  "
 We continued our march and reached a pass (Thaniyya):
-         "What do you call this Thaniya? "He asked again.
"Her name is Hartha.
-         "  It is as if I saw Younes mounted on a red camel, dressed in a woolen coat, holding the bridles of his mount made of stems and crossing this valley pronouncing the Talbiyya ." (Narrated by Muslim)
 Wearing a clean white outfit is a sign of inner purity, clarity of the message and the way forward. The outfit implies the abandonment of ornament, the manifestation of humanity and the recall of death since the outfit resembles the shroud and insinuates the availability to appear before Allah, the Almighty and the Majestic.
The entrance into the state of sacredness (Ihram) from the places intended for this purpose expresses the bondage towards Allah marked by obedience and submission to His order and His law. Therefore, no one must go beyond the said places (without sacralizing) since such is the order of Allah which is expressed in His law. This reflects the unity of the Umma and its organizational discipline which should exclude division and divergence over the fixing of the said places.

The ihram is the first rite of the Hajj (great pilgrimage) and Umrah  (small pilgrimage). Pilgrimage is a practical expression of Tawheed .

This is what the pilgrim announces at the beginning of his Hajj, as Djabir ibn Abd-Allah says in his description of the pilgrimage of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him ): "He (the Prophet) proclaimed the tawhid  :  Labbayka lahbayka Labbayka la sharika laka Labbayka Inna al-hamda wa an-ni'mata lakawal moulk Laa Sharika laka. ".  The Hajj makes it possible to remember the afterlife when all the pilgrims gather on the esplanade of Arafat and elsewhere in the same state and without any distinction. Here all the differences disappear and no one is superior to another except by piety. The Hajj symbolizes the unity of the Muslims because the pilgrims are equal in their dress, in the rites they observe. Habits of the Ihram:

It is necessary that the pilgrim avoids what is sewn such as: a shirt, a turban, shoes ... The Prophet said, "The pilgrim should not wear a garment, or a turban, or a pair of trousers, or a pair of shoes, unless they are cut below the ankles." (Bukhari). Also fabrics coated with saffron or wirs (plant used as dye, yellow-reddish color). The woman must not veil her face, nor wear gloves, according to the hadith reported by Imam Al-Bukhari,  3 / The Talbiya: The pilgrim must pronounce the formula of the Talbiya at the time of the Ihram at the Miqat, before even surpassing it. Its formula is as follows: "Labbayk Allahumib labbayk! (Here I am, Lord, here I am, here I am!)
