Some advantages of the Hajj


The Hajj makes it possible to establish a link with the Prophets who have succeeded each other since our father Ibrahim, builder of the House until our Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) who restored the sacred character of Mecca. Ibn Abbas said: "We walked with the Messenger of Allah ( ) between Mecca and Medina on the crossing of a certain valley, he said to us:
"What is this valley?" "
-         "The valley of Azraq" we replied him.
-         "  It is as if I saw Moussa crossing this valley, putting his fingers on his ears and pronouncing in a loud voice the Talbiyya.  "
 We continued our march and reached a pass (Thaniyya):
-         "What do you call this Thaniya? "He asked again.
"Her name is Hartha.
-         "  It is as if I saw Younes mounted on a red camel, dressed in a woolen coat, holding the bridles of his mount made of stems and crossing this valley pronouncing the Talbiyya ." (Narrated by Muslim)
 Wearing a clean white outfit is a sign of inner purity, clarity of the message and the way forward. The outfit implies the abandonment of ornament, the manifestation of humanity and the recall of death since the outfit resembles the shroud and insinuates the availability to appear before Allah, the Almighty and the Majestic.
The entrance into the state of sacredness (Ihram) from the places intended for this purpose expresses the bondage towards Allah marked by obedience and submission to His order and His law. Therefore, no one must go beyond the said places (without sacralizing) since such is the order of Allah which is expressed in His law. This reflects the unity of the Umma and its organizational discipline which should exclude division and divergence over the fixing of the said places.
